The first thing I thought of when I head "a Samurai game" was hack and slash. This game is to "trick" the players into killing the "flowers" and gaining points by doing so. The "correct" way to win this game is to pick up the flowers and give it to the NPC.
The last interaction is not in the game yet.

I played before the explanation, so I was a little confuzed. But interesting idea!
My suggestion would be maybe add some challenge (or illusion of challenge) to getting the flowers. Maybe add a timer that doesn't actually do anything, just to toy with the player even more.
